Buffalo Urban Cadet Squadrons

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Cadet Program is a nationally recognized program that allows young people, starting at age 12, to advance their skills and discover their passions in leadership, aerospace education, character development, drill and ceremonies, teamwork, rocketry, drone piloting, single-engine aircraft piloting, and much, much more.

Similar to the Air Force JROTC program, the CAP program is based on US Air Force military customs and courtesies. Like AFJROTC, the cadets wear Air Force-styled uniforms. Cadets can earn ribbons and medals, and even earn a private pilot’s license.

This program allows students to travel the country to attend CAP events and meet other children from all over the USA. What's more, parents can join CAP and participate if they wish!
